Results of last week’s brand2brand combat:
Looks like 2006 is going to be a banner year. It will be better than 2005, according to all who voted.

In this episode we’ll discuss the following topics:

  • t-shirt make off
  • is that an iPod in your pocket?
  • altitude affects attitude
  • Apple gets a new core
  • CEO’s can read?
  • Mork calling Orson, come in Orson…

iTunes Review is Online!
You can now review your favorite podcasts on iTunes. A good way to spread the word about podcasts you’ve heard, including lockjaw radio…

Listener Mail:

  • Doug Chalfant from E! loved Dose 11, and responded to our question about posting ads on our site: “Per your question regarding posting Amazon.com links or google ads, I say go for it. I’d actually pay the $ .99 or more to download each dose on itunes, so sell.” He also suggested Asheville in brand2brand combat, because “people on the west coast don’t know anything about it.” It’s our little secret down here….
  • Ryan Hodges, from New Haven, CT, says “I’ve been listening to your shows all week trying to get caught up. Today I’ll listen to #10 while commuting home from work. Your show is the best podcast I’ve listened to so far. Keep up the work!” Thanks for the props!
  • Austin Moody votes for 2006 and says “This will be the year that Web 2.0 will implode leaving only the decent applications and a lot of now unused domain names.”
  • Ryan Thiessen voted for 2006 but admits, “We had alot of great stuff in 2005… podcasts, video podcasts, video downloads from iTunes.. and in the video market, High Def Video cameras hit the consumer level. In 2006 I’m hoping we’ll see higher quality video/audio recording tools for lower costs and new ways to share the media on the net. Whether it’s through iTunes or other mediums. And, with any luck 2006 will see the release of the film Five Across The Eyes.”
  • Tatiana says 2006 will be better. “I think the forces of consumer-driven on-demand qualified-info revolution combined with the Best Brand of 2005’s momentum will create even better conditions for podcasting and the continuing evolution of the net.” And she’s all about Apple being brand of the year.
  • Ben Swihart suggested Asheville vs. Athens vs. Austin in brand2brand combat. “Which one has the most pretentious cliques? Which one has the most patchuli? Which one has the better music scene?”
  • Ryan Curtis from bandwagon radio accepts our challenge and says “You’re all going to die by my podcasting hand and my co-podcaster’s designing skills.”
